The Light Shines as White (poem)

The light shines as white,
The dark as black,
And as both I write,
Neither do I lack.

Once you become both,
Balance can be seen,
Black and white to show the growth,
Our choices to make are not lean.

So now as I embrace this,
Our love can flourish,
tonight is our night,
And so is the light.

I wrote this poem about two years ago, I believe. I just flipped through my old high school agenda and came across it. I wrote quite a few poems in that agenda. There's one thing I scribbled in it that is not part of a poem, but I adore anyways. It reads "One with no direction is always lost." Think about that for a moment. Besides that I do have a link to another poet's blog. This poet has been a favorite of mine for a short while and I thought I ought to advertise her a little. The link is lower down.  I do hope that you enjoyed my poem and with that, I shall be off. Until next time,
