To be defined by courage (poem)

I want our relationship

to be defined by our courage.

For us to have the courage

to be honest with each other

and ourselves,

even if it's horrifying.

For us to have the courage

to show ourselves as we are,

to bear all of our imperfections,

to not hide ourselves away.

For us to have the courage

to love completely and honestly,

to overcome our insecurities

brought by past loves and mistakes.

For us to have the courage

to face this terrifying world-

together.
